Default Warranty.... i don't know what to do

hi, i've got a hp laptop bought from comet... 2 months ago i sent it to hp for repair... it came back and the touchpad had been replaced but was acting crazy at times... sent it back a second time and still the same.. sometimes it works fine and then other times it just freezes and the only way to get the pointer moving is to remove the power charger (when it is running from the battery there is no problem) also at the same time the quicklaunch buttons are playing up whenever the touchpad does.. i have been trying to get back in touch with hp but they are not responding to me...they have caused this problem.. the other day i had to keep charging the battery up before i could use the laptop seem it would work while running from the mains.. this lasted almost a full day... i don't know what to do because my warranty runs out in less than 2 weeks how can i get it fixed if they will not respond.. i wish i never sent it for repair in the first place i would have rather had it in that condition than the way it is now..

please can anyone advise me
thanks mandy

I wouldn't worry too much about your warranty running out in two weeks as it is a problem already reported to them which they haven't fixed.

In any case Comet should have been your first port of call to resolve this.

Why did you go straight to HP?

Comet were wrong to tell you to go to HP-they just passed the buck.
You bought it from Comet so it is they who should repair/replace it.

How old is the laptop?

hi mandyy

It's not even a year old then. Call Comet tomorrow and demand they either repair it or replace it. Better still go into a Comet store.

Tell them it is their responsibility to deal with this and you are furious they fobbed you off in the first place.

Post back tomorrow, ok?
