Default Demand for payment-already paid

Back in April i got a parking notice(or what ever you call it) from BPM ground services ltd. £85
Against my better judgement i paid it.

On the 15/8/07 i received letter from Credit Resource Solutions stating i have an unpaid debt of £110.

On the 16/8/07 I received a letter from same company 'in connection with your outstanding debt, which now includes a late payment fee of £50, The debt now due is £135.

I knew i had paid this and have the details on my statement and a cheque book stub.

I did not intend to run around for them pointing out that this had been paid, but being the generous person i am, intended to email them to point things out.

However, they beat me to it. This morning i get a phone call reminding me of my debt (from Credit Resource Soloutions).

They asked me to fax my proof to them. I said i didnt have a fax!

They asked me to post the proof to them. I said no!

They reminded me a stamp only cost 32p.

I told them it was inconvienent, and that they should get back to BPM and get them to check their records.. Apparently they cant do that as the debt has been passed on to them.

I reminded them that it was their problem not mine. I have paid it and please dont call me again!!

Comments anyone?

Default Re: Demand for payment-already paid

I would say that a first request for the proof of payment, which you told them you have, is reasonable. If they still continue to contact you, then do not cooperate and consider anti-harrasment options.
