Re : Misrepresentation Act 1967 Hi wonder if anyone can help , bought an isdn phone system from a sales rep two years ago and part of the agreement was that the lease on the old system would be settled in full we'd never have bought a new system otherwise , anyway to cut a long story short never got a penny from new company and still paying lease on old system and been ripped of to the tune of £5000 , spoke to trading standards about this and they told me to sue them using misrepresentation act 1967 , now we have a letter from them stating if we sent a settlement figure they would send out a cheque , we did they then said that they wouldn't pay out that much and that all we could have is £2400 we refused that amount been a lot of to'ing and fro'ing since then but now they refuse to pay a penny said that they sent a letter last year saying if they didn't hear from us they would consider it settled , well we never got this letter and they say they haven't got any of our letters at all , but they said end of story no money , does anyone have any idea what i can put in my particulars of claim to make this sound good , all help apprecaited ? |
