Angry parking ticket

i presume i have not a leg to stand on with this one, but thought i would let you guys have a peek first anyways, just incase you spo something i dont.

basically, put £2.40 in the machine, which i beleive was three hours. but only £1.40 registred, (presume i pressed the button before the coins registered)

hence ticket only lasted half an hour and i didnt notice, as i was late as it was.

top half of penalty

bottom half

No "Date of Issue"... it's not enforceable. See the thread started by MondeoST24 "Your parking ticket may be unlawful" for all the hot info around this issue.

Oh bugger... it DOES have "Date of Issue"... anyone else spot anything wrong with it?

not unless you can argue that the line where the signature ought to be is a slip of the pen? (being pedantic here)

yeah hardly a signature is it how is that supposed to identify who it was I know they have warden numbers on the ticket but anyone could nick one of their machines and issue tickets.

As for the machines I know they will say you should have checked the ticket when you took it out of the machine unfortunately.

Check to see if any of the other important details are missing check the other thread out.

Well, I think it should say date of issue and date of contravention.. I know it says '(date of issue)' underneath the date, but not sure if that's good enough. Anyhow, how about..

- I question the validity of the PCN as the PCN in question states “You are therefore required to pay a penalty charge of £60 within 28 days” contained on the bottom of the PCN. I find this confusing as it implies payment of the penalty is required from the driver of the vehicle whereas in fact liability rests with the owner of the vehicle. This conflicts with Section 66 (2) Road Traffic Act 1991 and does not adhere to the standards demonstrated clearly by the DoT model ticket

I presume that is your Reg.No? My Mrs got off one because they transposed two digits in the Reg. We just wrote and said "we don't own that vehicle" - they wrote back and said "bugger!".
