Default Problems with s/h Fiesta TdCi

I bought a 3 year old Fiesta with 24k miles for £5850 from my local Ford dealer just over 2 months ago, but I just discovered the vehicle had previously been in an accident, fact that was never revealed to me by the salesman.

The repairs appear to have been done on the cheap, as the wing is protruding at the bottom, there is some over-spray, the bonnet and the bumper are misaligned, there are pieces missing and a host of other niggling problems.

In addition, one of the rear tyres is directional and it is installed on the wrong side of the car on the opposite side of a radial tyre, on the same axle. I'm just back from a 3k continental driving holiday and I have learned that I would have been jailed if involved in an accident with that tyre combination.

Then, 2 days ago, I lost the clutch pedal, but luckily it was just a linkage problem.

I wrote to the dealer principal listing all the problems some 10 days ago, using special delivery, but so far I had no reply. The car is still within the piddling 3 month warranty, or 6 according to EU law.

What should I do? Give them a chance to fix all the faults or demand all my hard earned cash back?

I dont think you have a claim for a refund, as they dont have to declare its been in an accident, thats up to you to ask and/or find out when you check before buying!
however the problem with the tyre should be sorted by them, take it back and get them sort out post haste, also the clutch if thats still a problem.
all covered under soga, fit for purpose etc.

The car went back yesterday and they are looking into all the problems I have mentioned. They were quite apologetic!
