Re: Vauxhall Cavalier Windscreen Wiper Motor? Does not sound like the motor, but have you tried using them? Does only one move when they are activated? The motor linkage is connected to both spindles, so if one is not moving but the other is, it is unlikely to be the motor.
It sounds to me like a loose nut on the wiper arm or the wiper arm or the spindle have worn out and the spindle is turning but not moving the wiper arm.
Make sure the wipers are in the parked position before removing them. Mark the position of the blade on the glass with tape as a guide to refitting.
Lift the hinged cover at the bottom of the wiper arm and remove the nut and washer securing the arm to the spindle. You can then see if it is worn out or may just need tightening up. If it is worn then you need to check to see if it’s the wiper arm or the spindle, but most likely candidate is a loose nut.
Let me know if you need more help.
