DOes a "approved used" dealer car have a specific standard ? I traded in my polo for a fiat doblo at my VW dealer where i got the polo, and the doblo was a trade in they had recieved.
My polo has a VW full warranty, when i realised that the doblo would have no warranty cover, i went to the sales manager and said, i'd need to walk away.
He called me back to say that the fiat doblo could be put under the VW approved used car scheme with a full VW warranty. This included a service and full mot.
I did the deal. Now i have recived the doblo...I see It had an mot, but only 8 weeks not a year. It had a service, but not the full dealer service it was due, just oil, plugs, filter like kwik fit would do. (this is a VW main dealer, they are a major chain with fiat dealership also)
Whats the position on the "used approved" thing. Do they need to carry out a full years MOT and a dealer service with timing belts and all if due ?
The reason i am not naming them, is that ive been with them a couple of years, and they honor warranty claims, and sort things out helpfully.
