Last wednesday I handed my car over to my insurance company's approved mechanics for some work to be done on my car following an accident. I was rear ended and the boot was damaged as well as the back bumper. I received the car back yesterday, the back end is all repaired fine - only to find that upon starting the car that the radiator is completely gone! the man who drove it back to me must have noticed this on the way - i live 20 miles from the garage! Ive also noted a big scuff on my front bumper which were not there before!
I was wondering if anyone could tell me where i stand on this. as it is i had to call out the RAC last night to come and put some sealant in it so we could get back from halfords :s - the car is not driveable and i have contacted my insurers to ask them what to do but im still waiting! i need someone on this now and not waiting for phone calls! They say they may need to have an independant mechanic look at it - but how long will that take? and how am i supposed to get to work - aggh!
what if the garage state that they didnt do it? it has to have been them as my car was running perfectly when i handed it over. Can anyone offer any advice please? i could really do without all this aggro after the accident.
Many thanks,
Lamha
