Hi , I bought the car last friday night. It was from a trader but he deals from home and advertises in well known AUTO book apart from his own website on the net,
before we bought it we took it for a test drive all was ok- a week after we took a mechanic to look over the car he said it seemed sound enough for age and milage. there was a couple of things to sort before we purchased it, 1 brakes which sorted, and airbag light was on he also sorted this for us.
it had done 150 k motorway miles with full service history.
since bringing it home the turbo has been playing up and the airbag light has reappered.
I phoned to tell him about the turbo, he said he had owned and run the car for a year with no problems and these things happen? (basicly tuff luck mate)not too helpfull just told me to have a mechanic look at it.... is this right ?
regards the airbag light since he sorted it out the first time, I have found out these can be reset to turn them off not really sorting the problem more disguising it. so I asked him should I take it to a main dealer for them to look at it to which his reply was < if you do that then I aint paying for it you can....
I paid in cash for the car but I have a recipte for it with is name and business name on, what I bought from him and my old car which I traded in was also listed on there.
I have only had the car now for 4 days!!!
do I have any rights here or is it just tuff luck.
