| Re: Requesting a received reference from a prospective employer Hi, Tezzaa.
The very same thing happened to my wife a couple of weeks ago
I believe the prospective employer should give you a copy of the 'unsatisfactory' reference.
(They would not even speak to my wife, let alone give her the reference)
My wife has sent a Subject Access Request to the prospective employer, they have 40 days to comply, just a waiting game now
Here's some info on a Subject Access Request ................ http://www.ico.gov.uk/upload/documen...a_subjects.pdf
Good luck with that, let us know how you get on.
Regards.
Scott.

| Re: Requesting a received reference from a prospective employer No problem
I'll let you know how my wife gets on, she is adamant, she will not let this go as it could affect every job application she makes.
Regards.
Scott.

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Requesting a received reference from a prospective employer Did you guys have any luck with either of your requests?
I'm in the same position myself - got told less than a week before my start date that the offer was withdrawn due to an "unsatisfactory" reference.
By this time I'd already handed (and worked) my notice at my previous company. |
