| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Probation Period Thanks Paul,
They have not tried to dismiss me but, as I have found out today, they wish to extend my probation period even though I have exceeded 12 weeks employment but not 3 calendar months. The reasons for the extension are very wooly but I get the feeling that I have upset someone, who has been in with the bricks, at head office and they are now gunning for me. As yet, apart from "I have not heard good reports about you" I have had nothing concrete as to `poor performance` and, in effect, little help anyway when I have raised concerns.
It just seems odd that on the very last week, without warning, they wish to extand my probation but, as far as I am concerned, my probation was complete after 12 weeks. My contract just states `3 months`. |

| | Classic Account Customer | Re: Probation Period Thats very unfair to wait until the last moment when they've had 12 weeks to advise you if there are any problems or issues so that you could have adequate time to correct any cpncerns that they had.
In employment law, I know that the time limits which are normally in years are based upon 52 weeks.
It might be worth asking them what specific problems they have so that you can seek retraining or take corrective action and maybe through in some company claptrap about wanting to fit in and be an integral part of the team. I've used that one before and its really throws them, especially if you can keep a straight face
All the best,
Paul. |
