Exclamation An Arrest.....CRB and Australia... Implications?

Ok first let me explain the circumstances, and please read this carefully, not easy to take it all in...

In april i was subjected to whitnessing against my will activities within a toilet block of a homosexual nature.

I left the block immediatly, upon getting into my car (about 50yeards from the cubicle, i phoned the police.

They arrived very quickly, unlike the usual! and two of the men were arrested. I was asked to give a statement which i obliged.

3 weeks later police turned up and told me they needed to talk to me further about the incident, ok fine, but then informed me they needed to arrest me as they had to formally question me!!!

What!??!

Turns out one of the males had made an allegation that I was infact involved in the whole act and the arrest was on suspicion of sexual activity within a public toilet.

When interviewed i told them exactly as i had at their arrest and my statement.

It is now being submitted back to the CPS to see if they want to press ahead with charges!!!

I'm embarrassed by the situation, angered and a flood of emotion.

The problems i have are i work as a PCV (bus&coach) driver which means my line of work involves children as passengers especially on school contracts.

Me and my girlfriend are happy with the news of having twins (in next few months they will be born, still tucked in her warm womb at moment!) and we want to move away to australia, a dream of ours for a long time now.

I dont know how but could the CPS really have a case against me that could convince a jury i was guilty????

Also if worst comes to worst and they canconvince a jury i was involved (which just to clarify i certainly WAS NOT!) then obviosly our annual CRB checks at work would mean im out of a job driving ever again but how would it affect our planned move to australia?

Gut wrenching worrying time at the moment as this is angering me as each day come closer to my bail to answer.

Any ideas and/or suggestions from the wise on here??? It would be greatly appreciated.

Afraid this is well beyond the bounds of my experience, but you have my total sympathy for what you must be going through.

If it is all as stated though I can't imagine how there would be sufficient proof for the case to proceed, so you must continue to express absolute outrage at the fact that you have been accused and it is essential that you take proper legal advice. Good Luck.

Common sense goes out of the window again (especially when CPS are involved!!).

The first thing I thought was... why would you call the police if you were one of the "guilty" parties??? I think that is what you have to ask, and ask until you get an answer.

I can't offer any advice I'm afraid, only good luck.

You try and do the right thing and it turns around and kicks you in the teeth.
Hopefully the CPS will see sense and not proceed any further with this. As gni03349 says 'Why would you call the Police if you where involved?'

My concern is that even if they don't proceed with this charge will your arrest still show on a CRB check?
Good luck

Would they not need any type of evidence. I mean DNA would help alot if they did.
