Unhappy no payment for Bank holiday

I hope someone can help

I currently work for a agency and have just received my pay slip which stated for the bank holiday I am only getting paid £7 which I know am partime time but my daily rate per day is £26 when call up the agency they advised me as my bank hols are know part of my holiday entitlement therefore I have to accur this bank holday which means I have to go to them by the end of JUly and requested for the money this is not done automatically.

The centre I work in was not open last Bank hol therefore no option to work can they do that and with hold part payment of this bank holiday this agency is hopeless please help as if this is not right I will get the union involved
please advise would not liek to make a fool of myself without knowing basics first

I am not sure how you stand in this situation, as it depends on your conditions in your contract of employment. I know that some agencies are realy bad and will take all they can get. Acas - Advice leaflet - Holidays and holiday pay follow this link as it may help you, if not give ACAS a call, I have always found them very helpfull, sometimes just the mention of ACAS will make the agency move, but beware as the have ways of getting their own back. no work, odd shifts etc. Good luck Stone
