Hi there, it all depends on your tax code - do you know what it is?

Kind Regards

Hi, do you have a recent payslip from your current employer? that should have your tax code on it.

Hi Duffman45

Based on the info you have posted you will be on a tax code of 522L M1

This comes from the box b on the P46 that you signed. This should have been sent to HMRC already and they in turn will then inform your employer of your current year tax code.

So you should receive around £1280.00 for the pay period you have described.

The problem you have is that this will be your employers last payrun of the tax year and as such you will have slightly overpaid your tax assuming that you should be on the standard tax code for the year.

Any other problems please come back to me on this thread and I will try to help. I have a bit of experience as I run 9 Payrolls myself.

wow thanks i worked it outs as around £1333ish before tax and they saying i should be paid 5 weeks in stead of 4
Because i started on the 25/02 and payday is on 19/03 so my bosses say they will pay me to the end of march so i assume its 5 weeks pay is that correct. If so how much tax will be deducted..

thanks in advance
Ben

Yeh thanks Ben,

I am a self-employed bookkeeper and payroll administrator looking after 250 people a week so I think I should know.
