Default Late payment for 3 months

Hi,
I've been working for a catering company for the past 2 years as a full-time worker. For the last 3 months i'm having problems with my wages which are not being paid into my account in the right day, every last day of the month.
In december they gave me no explanation why it happened, last month my HR manager told me it was his fault and this month he blamed the lady who works in the head office for the mistake.
When i do get paid they send me a cheque which takes at least 6 working days to get cleared into my account and i end up getting paid over one week after the right date.
I haven't received a correct payslip for these months either, and im really stressed with this situation.
Im off sick today and im having a terrible allergy due to stress because of this situation, there is no other explanation to that according to the doctor i went to in the E&A this morning.
So, i would like to ask if there is anything i could do to warn them about what's being happening. Tought about writing to them but don't know exactly what to say.
If you could help me i would be very grateful.
PS: Sorry about my poor english, but is a bit hard trying to explain the situation when you're note speaking your own language!

Thanks in advance for your help and i hope hearing from you soon.
Nina.

You have the right to be paid on time on the last day as the month as it appears cutom they have done this for the last 2 years.

Do you have a contract that states you will be paid by the end of the month too?

Also, have these late payments caused any problems, such as bank charges for not having your money cleared in time for your dd's?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I do have a contract that says my payment is monthly.
I haven't had any problem with bank charges because my husband is being helping me with it, paying for all the bills and rent until i get paid which leave us short in money plus the stressed caused because of this situation.
I would like to right a letter to them but don't know what to say.
Thanks,
Nivia.

That's ok! You're English is excellent and it is not a problem.

Well, I guess if there is no real problem caused then just write a polite letter asking them to pay you on time as agreed.

Technically, they have breached your contract as they have not stuck to the agreement, however, as you admit no problem with it then they should just get their act together.

By the way, you shouldn't have to rely on money from elsewhere, even if it is from your husband, just to cover your employer's shortfalls.

Therefore, just write a polite letter and ask them to pay you on time as it may cause you problems in paying bills on time and watch the situation.

Good luck.
