Payslips from employer

Does anyone know if employers are suppose to provide payslips if you are not at work and have no salary from them although you are sending in medical certificates. My employer has stopped my payslips and I do not know why as I have been sending in medical certificates to them, I have asked them for the payslips on the phone and followed it up in writing to no avail.

I'm not 100% sure but I think you only get a payslip if you get paid, by the sounds of your post you are not earning anythig from them.

Are you not entitled to ssp?

Hi there, have you been receiving Statutory Sick Pay? if so, and you have been paid it for the 28 weeks allowable, then there will be nothing to show on a payslip. Some payroll systems will not allow a "zero" payslip to be printed.

Are you paid a salary even when you are in work? Or just commission?

Are you actually an employee? (Sounds daft but it is not)

Are you receiving any form of sick pay at all?

How long have you been off work sick?

Yes I am paid and have been off with an injury but went back again for a month and took a weeks holiday but was off again due to accident at work, I only wanted my payslips so that I would know what was going on with salary but they refused to give me one for Dec and Jan, do not know why but are they entitled to withhold payslips even if you are not getting any salary for the month concerned.

I work part time and have am paid employee, however the company’s head office provided me with a payslip for November but my pay was stopped by my place of work. After looking at the DWP site I note that SSP is payable up to 28, weeks, 6 months. my local employer has stopped my SSP can they do that I have supplied a medical certificate for the time I have been off and will not give me an explanation for their actions.
