Default call out charges

In my work we sometimes work Saturdays just for an individual job. In this case the customer is charged a *** call out fee (***= my job title, I don't want to identify anything.) This fee is up to three times what we get but we have to demand this money so it's often assumed that we get it.

Now our employers want to cut even the fraction thatwe do get to a basic hourly fee for those of us who work full time, time and a half just time for the others. They will still charge the customer the call out fee and we still have to collect it. It has always seemed cheeky and we've often told customers that we don't get it, but now everyone's fuming. Is there anything we can do?

Unless this is covered for in your contract, then not really. What a company charge there customers really has nothing whatsoever to do with employees. Are you saying that now you are to be paid an hourly rate whilst you do these call outs on top of your normal salary?

Yes,

what I'm saying is that I feel that I'm being told to ask for money of the public by my (btw public sector) employer that is made tolook like it goes to me and they get it. It's also a reduction of terms and conditions. I get paid little enough as it is.

I don't think that it is legal to differentiate in this way between part-time and full-time employees
