Default Shift pay on Overtime

My Employer has paid some individuals shift pay on top of their overtime payments for the last 15 years. Others, including myself have not received this payment, even though there is no difference in pay and conditions between the two groups.
Am I entitled to claim these payments? And if so, can I have them backdated for the same time? I have been employed with this company for 16 years.

Thanks

It would depend if the shift payments are in their contracts or not, if it is then sorry they do not have to pay you, if not then you MAY have a case and you would be best seeing an employment lawyer as i suspect this case to be complicated.

Without know more details, terms and conditions, working practice etc etc its impossible to give a more detailed answer.
