Advice required

I have been with my employer for less than 12 mths and after 2 mths was sent home sick twice. The second time i was asked to come in for an informal chat and discuss any problems etc that were affecting me. After I informed them of the problems I was having they hounded at home for documentary evidence to prove it. I was signed off by the doctor with stress and received phone calls day after day from my employer. Also previous to my informal chat I was told by the HR manager that he could smell bull**** a mile off. Whilst off sick my employer has contacted my previous employer to see if I was still working for them whilst off sick, and I believe my manager also contacted her ex-assistant to enquire with a friend of mine who works at her previous employ about my illness.

Hi there, how long exactly have you been working for the company and in what capacity? Also, how long have you been off sick this time?

While an employer has the right to be informed of how an illness is progressing and the likely date of your return to work, they are not allowed to harrass you on a daily basis.

I just need a little more information to be able to advise you properly.
