Default Egg text messages

Egg keep sending me text messages to call them, despite me telling them not to and to communicate in writing using the Egg secure message system.

Is there any way I can stop them sending me text messages ?....are there rules in place to stop this if I request them not to do it ?

I don't want to speak on the phone, as I want everything in writing.

Yes there is a letter you can send re harrassment it is somewhere on this site. It is for phone calls but I am sure it would cover text messages as well. Have a look through search harrassment in the search engine. I will have a quick look if I find it before you will reply again.

National Debtline, for FREE CONFIDENTIAL and INDEPENDENT ADVICE call 0808 808 4000 - there is a section on harassment. Hope this helps. There are only a certain number of calls in any period of time that they can call you anything above is harassment. If all fails change your phone number. This does the trick. Hope this is of help.

I removed my mobile number and work number from my Egg profile so I don't get harrassed by them.

Got a call from them on my home line last week:

Egg: "Hello, this is Egg. Is it convenient to talk now?"
Me: "Can I ask what it is regarding?"
Egg: "Sorry I can't really say, other than it is about some recent correspondence."
Me: "Sorry, it's not convenient. Bye"

Great response Fighting Back. They did bombard me with text at 1 time. Now they dont even bother to ring. Cant wait till paid the account off then I go after them. Im going to ask for the PPI back as well that I didnt agree to & had charged at extortionate rates
