Cool CapQuest and Egg

Hi
Recieved a letter from CQ in July 2006 stating that they had purchased the debt from Egg, said they would accept £80 per month. Attached to the letter was a DD form. In order for CQ to accept their offer I had to send form and £80 back. This I did (rightly or wrongly panic sets in). Cheque cleared and One month later letters from HL Legal start arriving stating that I hadn't kept to the agreement and further action would be taken. CQ stated that they had no record of the DD even though it was in the same envelope as the cheque!
Two weeks ago having heard nothing else from CQ a further letter arrived from HL stating that a doorstep collector would be arriving to collect and/or take an inventory of goods. Never having been able to get anybody on phone (CQ constantly engaged or just ringing) I decided to send them three post dated cheques (first one dated 2nd November pay day) requesting that HL are informed of this. Last Saturday I recieved a letter form CQ dated 12th July saying that they agreed to their offer of £80 per month. Across the envelope was scrawled wrong address even though it was correctly addressed. So heaven knows where it had been for past two months.
I am now in process of preparing first request for papers as none were sent with the original letter stating they had bought debt. A little unsure if I contact Egg at this moment or wait to see what happens with CQ

hi pfens yo could do with sending CQ a letter requestig to see a true copy of your credit agreement you need to send a £1 postal order for this, here is the link for the template letter to use LETTER N.
read up about this CCA request because they must provide this within 12 working days and 1 month after that date they have broken the law, even if it has been sold to them.
but i do sugest you keep up your monthly repayments in the meantime, a bit of information about your post dated cheques these can be cashed now the banks take no notice of the dates so you must emphasise with them NOT to cash them before this date. by the way ignore their scare tactics it has to go through court before ballifs are involved and then you don't let them in your house, they have no right

Don't panic - they have absolutely no right to come to your home, and certainly no right to demand paymet if they do, and absolutely certainly no right to take any kind of inventory...They make my blood BOIL when they make such claims or statements...You can ask them to leave your property AT ONCE and to NEVER come back, and you can phone the police whilst they're there and tell them tht you 'may have to request a police car, please hold' to really make them **** themselves...Preferably pretend or genuinely video record them on your mobile phone and they'll be gone like that...however, in the vast majority of cases it will be a lie and no one will ever turn up, because it would be too expensive and they probably have no one in your area anyway...

If that makes your blood BOIL how about the one that wanted me to contact them to tell them how to servee papers on me to make me Bankrupt. Needless to say that was the first communication from a different DCA and I am applying same tactics with them as CQ
