hi everyone,
egg has sent me a most innocuous email about changes to their termas and conditions. im not claiming charges back from them but would like to hear your opinions about the changes and their timing

I just got the same email.

Basically, they have reduced the charge for going over your limit etc from £20 to £16.

However, they also say that if interests is payable, a minimum of 50p will be charged, irrespective of whether the interest amaount is actually that much.

The OFT really gave the banks something to cling to with this magic £16 figure.
Egg is totally automated and don't even send out charges notifications. Cost more like 5p to administer.
