Default AA99 v So Many, now looking at bankruptcy

After having started what I thought, thanks to this site, was a good battle against all my nasty creditors to reducing their charges and interest rates, I am also starting to feel so overwhelmed by it all. Tonight has been an exceptionally emotive night all round with my husband and children. I feel I can't cope much longer. We are on the bones of our a***s on benefits with no job prospects, tenants, and no assets to repossess. Right now, I feel like I'd rather do 30 days or OH for that matter and call it a day..............

Hi AA99

Having been on this site since March of this year i have really
learned so much , like you I too was at my wits end and not
able to pay anyone anything , first i went to CAB took all my
debts with me sat for maybe two hours and explained my case
I had no money end off, they were great wrote to all my credit
card companys 14 of them also my loans companys, they did not
judge me which is wonderfull , what you have done is ask for help
here on this site no one judges you and if you need help and support
then ask, there is no crime in being in debt we all fall into things that
in hindsight we shouldnt have done ie live beyond are means take credit
because at the time we needed to get out of trouble and so it goes on.
Myself and my OH have a Business and six months ago thought the only
way out was Bankruptcy after comming home from the CAB withall the
details leaflets ect on B/R I went on the internet and stumbled into this
site. Now Im telling you things have changed since then now we are working are butts off here we have cut the staff right down cut the
things out that we dont need I still smoke and drink gallons of coffee
stay up late on this site learning watching others Threads BUT the big
thing is that if i need advice or a letter arrives and im not sure what to
do about it I post and ask even if sometimes no one replys I use the
Threads as a diary what ive found is that if i post what i think should
happen and no one replys then it must be ok .

AA you seem to be doing the right thing but by your post above seem
to have hit a brick wall in your mind , i have not read all your posts but
i did see you were offering £20..00 a month to some that seems a bit
high , I have offered £5.00 to all mine as they get sold off to DCA,s
If you have not got it you can not pay them no Judge in the land would
expect you to either , you need to keep the roof over your head and
feed the family they matter much more and remember that without YOU
where would they be .

AA I dont have all the answers BUT i sure do know how you feel right now
I too got started sent off CCA & Subject Access Request to for all my lot and got on with
saving the Business then got really down and thought what am i doing
why am i bothering its not worth it .However im still here and have had
so much support and help from the people on this site just take your time
and things will work out it will not be easy Please remember that you
and your family matter you canot replace them.

If i can help in anyway please ask or pm me

wishing you all the very best

Cheers Tonka99

If you are seriously considering bankruptcy you would at least be exempt from the court fee (£150). Although there is a requirement to pay the £345 deposit there are charitable trusts which will pay this on your behalf. You should contact you local CAB for details of any of these in your area that you can apply to. There is no fee to swear the statement of affairs in a County Court but £12 is charged if you have to do it in the High Court or before a solicitor.

hiya AA99

i can recall how i felt in the beg of this year, and i do understand the fears etc, like tonka very well put, that post actually took me back to march this year when i started this mad journey and i sit here now and think gosh im still here,,,but in reality we have moved on from the very first day we all started posting here, we have become knowledgeable at the very least

but yes, the moments you feel a little low its hard to get back up being motivated, i was like that a little this week, but lexis gave me a gentle reminder and i do feel a little better

the support here is fab but its moments when you are alone and you think maybe is there a better way only you and your family can come to that decision but hang in here for a little while and see if things start to improve

anyway take care and my thoughts are with you and your family

ciao for now MAZ
