Considering Bankruptcy Now

I am so tired of fighting all the time.

I always tired but I can't sleep, just in case a bailiff comes when I'm sleeping and one of the kids lets him in by accident.

Everytime I think things can't get any worse, another bill arrives.

My business has gone, my home is gone, even my stepson went to his mother because he didn't want to have to deal with it.

I feel so depressed.

If I bankrupt myself then it'll all be gone.

Personally I owe about £9500.

Income, I earn £1000 a month, we get tax credits, family allowance, totalling about £1000 a month

We pay out £900 rent, £160 council tax, £115 council tax arrears, then of course utilities, car for school and work, and food and clothes etc for a family of 6.

We're waiting to hear about housing benefit,

Todays bill for £5000 over the factory we used to rent is just the icing on the cake. I KNOW I cannot spread myself any further now.

Hubby owes alot more than me, and we know he has to declare bankruptcy.

I want it all to just stop now, phone calls, letters, bailiffs. I want it to stop and can't see that anything other than bankruptcy will do that.

If its a definite that your husband has to declare BR, then let him do it first and see how your finances look with the added HB and less pressure after that. BR for £9k should be considered as a very last resort.

Sorry meant to ask are any of the debts joint that your hubby is including and was there a shortfall on house and if so is it joint?

Council Tax is joint, rent on old factory is joint.

Shortfall on house about £15000 but in his name alone
