Red face dvla cash return

first post
A couple of years ago I sent off for a replacement log book that never arrived Some time later we found the missing log book. So we contacted the dvla who agreed that they had not sent it but said they would have keep the money "as it had been processed". I emailed them back saying that as my girlfriend was on the sick I would be able to take them to court for nothing and they would have to attend . A couple of days later we had the refund !!!

This situation happened to me before with council tax where are was given wrong advice by a solicitor to take the council to court in the county court . I know now that this is the wrong place but the council had to attend and it got right up there noses A solicitor and a top member of staff how much is that .I know I didnt win a case but it cost them money and I was able to look at that elusive rule book that is never available.
It cheered me up no end
