Default Win a car courtesy of DVLA!

Just received my car tax reminder in the post and found that the DVLA are giving away 3 cars per month in a free prize draw! The idea is to encourage the use of their website or telephone number to apply for tax.

BUT, its open to any vehicle keeper who taxes or SORNs their vehicle even using the Post Office. See:
DVLA :: Prize Draw Microsite

Apparently, this is at no cost to the taxpayer as the cars are provided free by SEAT to the DVLA.

So, you're saying we have two national lotteries then?

What the hell is the DVLA doing? They should spend their time bloody well sorting out SORN declarations, getting addresses right and basically doing the things the are being paid to do, by us.

I still maintain that it's time Capita were given notice.

I can understand the DVLA wanting to gain publicity, but what gave them the impression that a white Seat is a glamorous car?!
