Default apply online for a drivers licence
Hi there, just wondering if anyone has ever applied online for a drivers licence? I was considering doing it because I'm hopeless with forms and find using the computer much easier but I don't want the money to go from my account only for the DVLA to give me the wrong thing or something.

I did it 3 months ago when I needed to inform DVLA of a change of address. I also had to convert to the photocard licence at the same time. Because I have a passport, DVLA were able to verify my identity with the UK passport agency, and they were also able to use my passport photo for my new licence. This was far easier than the usual process of having to have someone verify my identity and then send in my birth certificate or passport. Within 5 days I had my new licence.

For once DVLA actually got it right, which is most unusual!
