Help I want to reduce my repayments

This is my debut! I am paying several dcas, as I had property repossessed in 2005 and my finacial life collapsed. Now back on track and making regular agreed volountry payments. I wonder whether having browsee this site whether any one can tell me where to start. I am willing to commence correspondence with my creditors but want the amounts reduced etc.

Where you go depends most of all on your circumstances. There are several areas that may interest you.

If you have charges from bank or credit card accounts you may want to look at whether they are the kind of charges the site will help you reclaim. Have a look at the FAQ which explains the whole process and a few other bits and bobs along the way.

There are also several people looking at the validity of the paperwork held by credit and loan companies. These are mainly in the threads listed in the debt and debt collections forums. Have a browse through them There is also a lot of information about the actions of various DCAs. You can even find information about negotiating with DCA's.

Have a good stoll through the site and give yourself plenty of time. There's a lot to see and read.

Best thing to do is give a little more in depth info.
There are steps to take but it has to be managed.We can help with this if you can explain in more detail those issues you want to sort out,giving history and up to date info.

thank you. As you say there is a lot to read. Does it matter that I am already repaying under a repayment plan. Also if no copy of orginal agreement cannot be produced is debt unenforcable? Lastly when house was repossessed (Kensington) want early redemption interest. My feeling is that it was an enforceed sale, also the orignal amount borrowed was fully repaid.
