Warning Anyone Dealing With Aic

They are trying a new trick. I had a phone call today, automated message, saying please contact Miss Milligan urgently on 0141228304. Didn't say what company, so put 141 in front of it and dialed. You get a message this line not taking calls and gives you an O870 number to ring, didn't bother to listen to the end of the number I hung up. Checked the number out with some correspondence definitely AIC.

this isn't a new trick. Unfortunately DCA's have been doing this for some time. PLease report them for it though - OFT guidelines re deception.

Funny you should mention this.

Had an automated text message through BT asking me if I wanted to accept the text.

Who could it be. I do not care as I do not accept automated calls of any kind and just put the phone down, so no idea who or what it was.

They did ask me to press (1) to accept or (5) to delete but apparently just putting the phone down has the same effect.
