| Re: Post Office lost CCa letter All you can claim would be the registered or recorded fee in my opinion
They have cashed the cheque so you know it got there.
IMHO I just get proof of posting, costs nothing, and the courts will accept that, but everybody has their own take on that

. | You can call the Post Office and they will tell you if they have been cashed (as long as you have the PO numbers), not sure of the phone number though, probably be on their website

| Re: Post Office lost CCa letter This appears to be an incresing problem. Many big firms "bulk collect" their recorded stuff.
They then fill in forms for the post office which allows them to put them up in "track and trace".
I have had similar problems and got a book of 6 first class stamps for my trouble.
The complaint has now been passed on to the delivery manger in the area.
But it sure as heell makes a mockery of the "recorded" delivery |

Sometimes DCA's will take it but not sign or the postman will just deliver it without it being signed for (I know).
The DCA has cashed your cheque which means they probably did actually get your letter but are denying it.
I would write again pointing out the fact they cashed your cheque means they got the letter. If they don't play ball send the letter again by next day garunteed and in the letter state your old cheque number.
I can't post the whole letter as CAG said not to but I'll show you what I mean and you can put it into one of the templates. Quote: | - your obligation also extends to providing a statement of account. I enclose a £1 cheque (Number XXXXX) in payment of the statutory fee. | Obviously don't put a cheque in it as it's for the one they cashed. Also keep the date on the letter as the original date.
I had to do this on a statute barred debt with AIC. They tried to claim the £1 was aknowledgement and payment. |

to see if a postal order has been cash.... go to the post office and get a form (i forget the ref), fill that in, post it, give us a few days.... blah blah.
oh well, i'll just CCA them again, with a personal cheque this time. |
