| Lloyds Tsb - Will They Play Silly Buggers? I've spent about 2 weeks reading through a lot of the stuff on here and I want now to start a claim against Lloyds, but there are a couple of things I'm not sure of. Firstly, I read the thread Lloyds - NO Statements- Just a List of CHGS and I need to know if the standard template letter is enough to get me the information I need. I presume it will be, because it says "...Please supply me with a complete list of transactions and charges relating to my banking history with your organisation." This outh to be enough to get everything, but I just wonder if somebody could confirm this. Secondly, I want to claim for charges on my credit card and my current account. I understand from what I have read that the template letter will cover both, but where do I send it to? Thank you for your help in anticipation. |

| Re: Lloyds Tsb - Will They Play Silly Buggers? Thanks Lazybones. I've got all the time in the world, I just want to get it right and above all I want to get these b******s as they've caused me a lot of grief.
There are a few others too, but this lot will make a good start and hopefully give me the confidence to go after the others as well. |

| Re: Lloyds Tsb - Will They Play Silly Buggers? Well I've done the deed now and sent off the Subject Access Request by Record and Track. I'm itching for a scrap with Lloyds (and a few others) and it's nice that for once the boot is on my foot.
Thanks to everybody for the help and support so far - I'm certain I'm going to need a lot more yet though! |

Follow the procedures laid out here and you'll get your money back!
You have time which is good, because Lloyds have a habit of dragging things out. But don't rush anything, make sure you understand everything you are doing, and if you need advice then ask. Everyone on this site does thier best to help!

| Re: Lloyds Tsb - Will They Play Silly Buggers? Hi fred I am in a similar position as you bank charges and two credit cards. Started with bank first and then with Credit cards about 4 weeks later. I think the bank is more straight forward than Credit cards (PPI involved as well as charges) I will be going N1 at small claims court next Friday with bank unless paid in full.
all the best with your claim don't let them drag you down it's your turn now to kick them dpick |

| Re: Lloyds Tsb - Will They Play Silly Buggers? Thanks for the encouragement dpick.
There are a couple of complications for me. I am quite heavily in debt and I had to switch my bank account from Lloyds where I had an overdraft and also a credit card.
My debts are being managed by an agreement with the CCCS, but Lloyds will not accept the offer on the overdraft even though they have accepted it for the credit card. It incenses me that they will not freeze the debt. Also, recently, the bank account went past the overdraft limit purely because of an illegal charge, so they are charging me even more now. It's not huge, about £7 per month, but it's the principle.
As far as my credit card is concerned, I have another suspicion. A short while before the whole thing blew up in my face, I noticed that they had started charging me for credit card cover. I am almost certain that I had not signed for this and that it had only recently started appearing on my statements. To be honest, I was so busy hiding the bloody things from my Wife that I never really looked into it before. I did ask Lloyds for a copy of the agreement which they duly sent, but all this had was my signature against the original credit card agreement and a box checked against the bit marked 'credit card cover'. I would have thought this would need separate ratification as anyone could have ticked this at a later date.
As I say, it's only a suspicion and I'll know more once I get the data, but if anyone else has come across something like this with Lloyds then I'd be interested to hear from them.
Cheers.
Fred. |

| Re: Lloyds Tsb - Will They Play Silly Buggers? Just a quick question.
I've got debst that are being managed by an agreement with the CCCS. I'm sure there are others in this position. At the moment, the interest has been frozen, at least on my credit card account, but now I'm going after Lloyds, is there any likelihood that they will start charging interest again? |

| Re: Lloyds Tsb - Will They Play Silly Buggers? Thanks. I've got every intention of doing this, but what I'm worried about is that they will once again start charging interest against an account that is currently frozen. My agreement via the CCCS means that the interest rate is currently zero, but they may not stick to this. |

I'm in the same boat as far as credit card and overdraft with Lloyds.
Although I arranged my repayment plan myself they agreed to stop charging interest on credit card but didn't on bank account.
You might find this sentence interesting, it's in the letter from Lloyds accepting my lower repayments "If your account is covered by a payment protection insurance policy, this wil be cancelled in the next 10 days. If you think you can claim under this policy, please call immediately."
The thing is I did have PPI when I first got the C/card but cancelled it after a few mounths.
I worked out after first adding PPI premium then the interest only then deducting minimum payment of £50.00 only approx. £1.50 was coming off the balance.
You could go into your bank explain situation and ask for premiums to be refunded to your account as you had not wanted PPI. If they question just point they have only recently been charging you for it.
Get them to make anote on your account and ask for a copy.
I did, on a seperate matter, last week in fact and the nice young lady printed off ALL the notes fron when I opened the account.
Just ask, see what happens you never know, you might get a pleasant supprise!
The worse they can do is say no
I hope this is of some help
Good Luck

| Re: Lloyds Tsb - Will They Play Silly Buggers? A couple of things are niggling me.
I sent my Subject Access Request to Lloyds on 24th March by Recorded Signed For. So far, the item has not been signed for - there is no record on the Royal Mail Track and Trace system.
If Lloyds don't sign for it, can I still claim that the item has been delivered?
The only account I have with a cheque book is my Business Account, which I tend to use as a personal account. Today I had a rather mysterious call from Dun and Bradstreet asking me details. I cut them short. It just seems a bit odd. Lloyds have not yet cashed the cheque I sent them (from this account) and I wonder if they are using D&B to check up on me. Anyone else had this experience? |
