| CRA change Hi. I may be missing something here but wondered if anyone could put me straight on this?
I ran a credit check several weeks ago. There were numerous details on it, including a few defaults, which I'm afraid are true.
About the same time as getting my report, I sent a CCA request to one of the DCAs who had contacted me about one of these defaults. Have had the standard "28 days yadda yadda yadda" reply and nothing since.
Checked my report again today and that particular entry / debt has vanished! It wasn't statute barred and so is still outstanding, my aim was to try and get some penalties deducted before setting up a realistic repayment plan.
Should I be concerned? Could it have been 'taken off' while they gird their loins and they try to put it through court or similar (despite my CCA, which would be a different issue, but we know what these tinkers are like!!)
Any ideas? |

Any ideas? | Probably took it off because they know there's no OA and they can't collect. |

| Re: CRA change Thanks, pmhcfc (I'd love to know what that stands for!)
I guess that could possibly be true. The card was originally from one organistation, who were then taken over by someone else, who were then taken over by someone else! Somehow along the way one of the new creditors stopped taking out my monthly DD payments which slipped by me. When I finally noticed, they wanted the arrears paid in one hit and I didn't have the money. Usual story... head in sand, default, DCA...
Will wait and see what occurs. |
