| | Gold Account Customer | Re: NCO Europe Send a CCA request to NCO and neither pay them or take their calls until they produce the credit agreement. You wouldn't just give anyone your money would you? Don't assume they have a legal right to collect any monies, the only thing that proves that they do is the credit agreement. In the absence of it, the debt is completely unenforceable.
Answering the phone is unavoidable. When they ring simply advise them that you do not discuss financial matters over the phone and do not go through their security Q's to verify your identity. Tell them this is for reasons of data protection, as you have no way of proving who they are. They will probably make the point that you were prepared to discuss the a/c previously, tell them you are not explaining yourself to them. Beyond what I've said, do not get drawn into a conversation with them. Once you have said what you need to (remembering to get the person's name at the very start of the call, they get very shy about their identity, if things get heated) hang up, it's your phone and your right to do so!
Keep a detailed record of times and dates of calls, whether answered or not. Keep all letters from them also. The idea is you build a case against them for harassment. Don't tell them this on the phone! Let them keep digging themselves a very big hole....! The law is on your side here, read around about DCA's and arm yourself with as much info as possible. Personally I like to taunt DCA's, but you need to have a thick skin if you're going to have an argument with them...it's not for everyone, but I enjoy it!
I hope this helps!
Regards,
Laiste. |

. | Bet Mr/Mrs P Edwards didnt call. Did they. The number of times I have made tea for his visits is incredible. I have even had my tape recorder running along with my video camera. He is a very naughty man making thousands of arrangements and not keeping them |

| Re: NCO Europe Hi
Creation should have also let you know who is collecting the debt as this also makes who you should pay unclear,I would inform the dca that you have not been notified by Creation and also contact creation in writing about them passing the debt on without being notified.Have similar problem with this myself ,would keep track of any defaults the dca might do as well. |

Hi BonBon,
They hardly ever do call!
Even if they did, you can just ask them to leave, they have no right on your premises. Should they refuse, then you may call the police and tell them you have trespassers, and a breach of the peace may occur!
