Default Woolwich charges now gone to Debt collectors!

I'm in dispute with the Woolwich over their outrageous bank charges as are many people but I have now received a letter from a debt collectors saying I have 7 days to pay the full amount outstanding (the charges Woolwich imposed took the account overdrawn by approx £500). Any advice on how to handle this??

you say you are in dispute
have you sent them a Subject Access Request or CCA?
if not, you are not in dispute - legally.

do either, then inform the DCA you have done that
then they will fwd the A/C back to woolwich

Subject Access Request = Subject Access Request - these should be sent to the original creditors, and useful if you are going to reclaim charges.

CCA = Consumer Credit Agreement.

Both can be found in the templates (not exactly sure where)

I dont know a lot about this so im only giving you the barebones until someone with more brains comes along!

basically you want to send the CCA to the Debt Collection agency then they have 12 WORKING days to comply or they default, they have a further 1 calender month to pony up if they dont they have committed a criminal offence.

send of the CCA RECORDED DELIVERY.

i hope this helps until someone else can help you
