Unhappy Very upset Abbey customer

I would like to say hi. I'm new to this. Ive had trouble with bank charges resulting in having direct debits stopped, which has led to a number of problems. One being taken to court being accused of not paying a debt. Stupidly I have repaid the debt by cash but foolishly not asking for a reciept. I didn't think I had to because I was repaying the debt back to my brother. I am at my wits end. Hopefully it will be sorted soon. Thankyou

Hi Welcome to the site.
You may like to address both of these issues.
I will move your post to the debt collectors section where you can maybe give more details in this thread.
As regards the charges themselves from your bank you need to start a thread in that bank group.

I take it that your brother is no longer chasing you for that debt?
Has the bank passed the debt to a collector?

Do you have an existing current account with another bank, or can you
open one, in case your present bank closes your account as I am going to
suggest you send an Subject Access Request to your with a view to reclaiming any unlawful charges?
