You can apply for something called a garnashee order, which freeze their bank account until they pay up. You would need sort code and account number, but they probaby supply this on their nasty debt collecting letters sometimes so people can pay them

Hi everyone. Ive read all your posts with interest.
Ive just received a letter from Lowell giving my previous address and asking if i lived there. So i guess this is where it all kicks off for me.
The letter says that if i dont reply they will assume that i did live at the address and update their records accordingly... so i think ill just ignore it and wait for chase letters.
Good luck to all of you that are sueing Lowell... i hope they get what they deserve!

Hi everyone,

I've been reading your posts with great interest. I too have been a victim of Lowell! I have never had any dealings with them, I do NOT have any outstanding debts, I don't even have a credit card - Lowell appear to have confused me with someone else with the same name and date of birth who are less than saintly with their finances.

At this point, I find myself unable to re-mortgage my home (so am stuck with the current variable rate) and I am unable to get any finance whatsoever and have been 'black-balled' by just about everyone! I have written to them and phoned them on numerous occasions and can't get any sense out of them at all - they sent me 'proof' that they though they had the right person but it was just a signature (not mine) at a different registered address. Other companies are now making the same incorrect link and I'm literally being drowned in a sea of Lowell's threatening letters and have an inability to procure any sort of finance from anywhere!

Does anyone have any ideas??

I really think that chaps comment should be removed - sarcasm is the last thing we need at a time like this - I've done nothing wrong.
