Default Subject access request ?????

hi
can anyone out there please enlighten me to what exactly a subject access request is and what is its purpose
i sent an s10 notification to lowell and they replied like i`d sent them an s.a.r
is an s10 a request for an s.a.r ? reading it i cant see how but it is in legal speak so maybe i`m missing something
im about to send the s10 again pointing out i didn`t request an s.a.r and need to know if this is the right approach
surely if they send me all their information on the account without actually finding out if i am that person there is breaking of data protection issue`s
thanx

Hi schrodingers cat . The s10 letter you sent to Lowells, I believe that is the prove it letter. You havn't at this stage applied for a CCA. If it is the prove it letter then let them get on and prove it if they can. At this stage I would do nothing. Just wait and see what they come back with. Don't panic and in the meantime if you want to know about Subject Access Request'S check this link. CAG CRA S.A.R Club ( 1 2 3 4 5 ... Last Page) Good luck schrodingers cat

A section 10 letter is to tell them to stop processing your data as they do not have your consent to do so.

I would CCA them to get the ball rolling.

Hi stikky52 . The s10 is printed above. It is not the prove it letter.
As zazen.warrior points out.
A section 10 letter is to tell them to stop processing your data as they do not have your consent to do so. I hope this is now clear and I apologise for any confusion.
