Default welcome finance car finance

heya, im writing in regards to welcome finance to see if somebody can help me with my hire purchase. ive tried to volutary terminate my car twice and they have said i cant volutary terminate coz i had 2 defaults in 2004, doesnt make any sense to me?a bit of acatch 22 situation they said dont do defaults anymore!!!mmm spoke to citizens advice about this and they said they cant see any paperwork saying that, think ther just trying to mess me about, wanted to find if the default thing itrue or not they welcome finance said its true by law but i dint beleive a word they say anymore!!!plus welcome finance is a sub prime company there bound to have people havindg defaults doesnt make any sense!!!any information about this i be reall gratefil about. the second thing is checked my account with them ive paid around £7,400 the loan wsa supposed to be 5,000 with interset totaling 8,800 unbeleivable!!!they have charges of worth £1,700 on my account redicilous how do i reclaim them f5rom welcome or take them off ive done it with my bank charges but need help with this if u can????

Hello!

I don't know how Welcome Finance operate or car finance. But some questions spring to mind: have you asked your questions re the termination in writing? I would want them to identify exactly which law they are talking about. Don't discuss anything on the 'phone though, you may need evidence to make a formal complaint further down the line.

Do you have a copy of your original agreement with the terms and conditions?

I would also reclaim the charges. Follow the same process as you have used for your bank charges. Would this not clear the balance?

1 last thing!! What sort of accounts were the defaults for?
