Talking scottish power

spellinghi everyone
first let me say thanx to those who have helped and supported me with the dreaded lowell portfolio i am actually looking forward to the fight now
i have a few problems to let loose on you but i`ll deal with them as they come, this one is with scottish power and smp collections.in my last address i was constantly getting extortioate gas bills but i paid them then last summer it was so hot i never used the heating once and the only other thing that was gas that i used was one burner on my gas hob (i`m microwave man i`m afraid) at the end of the quarter i recieved a gas bill in exess of £400 then i knew there was something wrong so i got on the case with s.p and it turns out they were charging me for a different gas meter than was installed, they promised to sort this out, eventually i had to move so i phoned them two weeks before and told them to get their finger out as i didnt know were i was moving to.they didnt so off i went.eventually i found the place i am in now and as they where the cheapest i went for s.p again neglecting to mention my previous contact with them as i expected we were about even on the finances.on the 12/01/08 i recieve a bill for the period 07/09/07 to 08/10/07 ( i left the old house on the 17/09/07) saying i was i credit by £214.51,woohoo i thought so i phoned them up and was told a cheque was in the post, then on the 04/02/08 i get another bill for the period 07/09/07 to 08/10/07 and it tells me i owe them £184.43.two gas bills for the same period totally contradicting each other so we start the phone thing and they seemed to be flailing round trying to justify the debt with various excuses the main one being we took the credit to pay the electric bill (what electric bill ? i never got one) eventually i told them i was not going to carry on with the phone war and we started emailing,i sent them my version,no reply so i left it still no reply, then a week ago i get the smp collections letter.despite several reminders the sum due, blah blah, conty court judgement blah blah, substancial costs i`m sure you get the picture.so i sent them a copy of the bills no letter just my ref no.now i`m waiting.what i really want is not just to brake even but to get my credit or at least rub there noses in it,maybe sent the bayliff to s.p
any help would be much appreciated
S C
