Default Living abroad for a year.
Hello all. I'm a newbie - this is my first post!
I've been reading the threads on here for a few days now and I'm amazed how much I've learned in that time!
I have a question, though:
I have a Thames Credit debt which they keep hounding me for. I will be moving to Spain in June for a year and I don't like the idea of DCAs hounding me while I'm there. If I don't register on the electoral role during my time away will I manage to dodge the bullets until I return in late 2009?

You may dodge the bullets as you say but this will still be waiting for you on your return plus intrest!
Can you not consider firstly making sure that you do owe them (CCA) if you do then set up a repayment plan.

I moved to Greece in 2004/5, but came back to 3 defaults and my partner 2 plus a CCJ. Up to you my friend but it is amazing how they find you when you get back and the problems it causes. Im with wino get a CCA sorted before you go. PS Good luck in Spain, you wont regret it
