Default Thames Credit - Statute Barred debt

Hi,

Having had some very useful advice here in the past, I'm afraid I'm back for a little more!

I had some hassle from Thames Credit for a debt that is statute barred. I sent the recommended letter to them to advise them of this, and I've just received the following response:

"We refer to recent communication regarding the above referenced account.

We have decided not to pursue this matter further and have deleted the account from our database.

Our decision has been made from a commercial viewpoint only. There will be further correspondence from us with regards to this matter"

Great to know that they are not taking things further, but what's this last paragraph about??!? Why will they be sending "further correspondence" if the account is deleted? Can I expect more hassle from them?

advice appreciated!

many thanks.....

I think they meant NO but messed it up.
Isn't that generous of them

Yes, I was wondering if it was a simple typo!! But I certainly don't want to contact them to find out......

I guess I'll just assume the matter's closed then!

thanks

Unless they write to you I think that's a good assumption.

hi

think it may be prudent to check your credit file just to make sure they haven't registered adverse marks as a result
