Default Advice needed please unsecured loan

Hi all my first post hope someone can help me with this. I got an unsecured 5000 pound loan in may 06 never missed any repayments but got made redundant fro work after five years in april this year. I have been meeting the repayments from the small amount of redundancy I received but that has ran out and now im only in receipt of benefits (120 pound a fortnight) and cannot afford the repayments of (118 pound a month). I wrote to Lloyds TSB explaining i could no longer afford repayments at the minute and would they give me a six month break from repayment and from added interest or until my employment circumstances changed and i could start repaying the loan. I wrote to them 3 weeks ago but had no reply my loan repayment is due out of bank on the 28th of july and i dont have money to pay it so i presume they will be adding charges and interest. Any advice anyone please? thanks

Your best course of action would be to use an official route.
Get in touch with one of the debt charities, like CCCS - Free Debt Advice from the UK's Leading Debt Charity or National Debtline, for FREE CONFIDENTIAL and INDEPENDENT ADVICE call 0808 808 4000 and have them deal with ALL of your creditors during this trying time.

LLoyds only accept reference numbers from payplan, how they can dictate it is beyond me.

Free Debt Management company | Payplan

they should have advised you of all this by now but not surprised they haven't..They can be stallers you have to be sharp and watch your own finances and accounts with this lot..

Get an I&E sent to them asap with a payplan number go through your I & E with payplan. They will not beable to help you with an instalment plan unless you are 13000 in debt but they will advise and log you on thier computer. This gives you your reference number for LLoyds.

Once lloyds have that and a copyof your unemployment proof and I &E with a bit of luck you may be able to agree another 3 months which may be renewed every 3 months.

good luck and just keep them updated of your situation so they can't say they didnt know.
