Currys - engineers wasted time

I rang currys to tell them about my new larder fridge - only 2 weeks old . I got up one morning,opened the door and one of the shelves had totally shattered all over the fridge - there was glass everywhere. This was obviously a fault with the glass so i rang currys - they say I will need an engineer to look at the problem er... excuse me?:o I know what the problem is - I need a new shelf - thats all cant he bring one out? ...No she says we have to have an engineers report.Ok I say - so one week later the engineer turns up - takes one look and says oh yes youll need a new shelf! - (no S**t sherlock ! ) we will have to order one - should have it in a week or 2. just over a week later he comes back and fits the shelf. Now I ask you - was there any need for all this total waste of time? no wonder you have to wait around for days for an appointment running a service like this. He should have been given the replacement glass to bring with him on the first visit.
