Default orfoster -V- Wickes

I purchased a Bathroom Suite from a Wickes Extra store on the 22nd November. I told the sales assistant I would like the Oceana suite, he said ok no problem (this was by the display stand). I went to the checkout and paid. The delivery day was the 24th Nov.

The bathroom arrived but the bath was not the bath that was shown on display in store, I went back into the store, I took photos of the stand and spoke to the manager asking him why the "upgraded" model was on display with the standard suite price next to it and he said "I am sorry and I realise that suite on display is very confusing" he then went on to say that I can have the bathroom suite on display for the upgrade fee.

I then told him as fair as I was concerned there was no upgrade fee as this was not displayed either and that wickes had broken our original agreement and not to mention the Sales Of Goods Act as the item was not as described.

I have sent a letter to their Customer Services team asking them to come and collect the wrong suite and bring me the correct one, I went into the store this morning and the bathroom is still displayed the same!!!

I said to the manager if he was to go into Currys and buy a 40" Samsung TV and then to have delivered a 20" Panasonic you would be abit cheesed off, I can't see how bathroom suites are any different.

I await the response from Wickes.

Da's passed it on for you; the particular person to speak to is away on hols at the moment but should be back soon, so if you don't get this resolved at store level someone should be contacting you. Hope it helps!
