Default broken lg tv and no receipt
hi

i bought a lg plasma from currys less than a year ago and the tv has broken down. to get lg to fix it i need my receipt but i cant find it. i dunno what my rights are here, any ideas?

I had a similar problem and contacted the manufacturer giving them the serial number and they were able to date the product which proved it was covered. Surely currys took your details on the day you bought the set so that should be proof enough.

If you paid by credit/debit card/ cheque this will be proof enough. You do not legally have to have a receipt, although obviously it makes it much easier if you do.

If you paid by cheque/credit card/debte/debit card it will be on your bank statement and that should be good enough.
