It is very unlikely to help.

Fujitsu have no responsibility whatsoever for repairing your laptop. Any possible responsibility they had expired with their warranty.

Currys on the other hand...

Before you do anything so hasty I can see you are a recent addition to our merry band so take your time, have a look around the forums, read up about the Sale of Goods Act which is possibly the most empowering consumer legislation there is, and then take another look at your laptop situation.
Don't rush into things, take your time and don't forget, apart from the huge amount of information on here there are hundreds of us willing to help!

To pursue a claim, you would be best getting an independant report showing that the fault was inherant. It's then down to the company to prove otherwise, and if it goes to court, they will decide which is more likely. If you win, you will get all your (reasonable) costs back.

Most consumer refund issues don't goto court unless you damaged it and try and show it off as an inherent fault. A retailer knows when they will lose in court and folds before.
Under the sales of goods act a product has to be of satisfactory quality, a laptop should last alot longer then 1 year, so if you can get an expert to sign of that this is not caused by wear and tear/accidental damage/neglect then write back to currys with said report, asking for a repair or replacement.

Your best bet would be to go straight to the head of customer services. Usually to avoid publicity and any other legal proceedings "in my experience" they usually replace or repair the laptop, either free of charge or at a discounted rate.
