Angry Getting CreditExpert to update my file so it's accurate

Can anyone help?

1) I have viewed the Credit Reference report held about me on Experian's Credit Expert. It says that my credit rating is poor and indicats that this is partly due to the fact that I am not on the electoralk register where I live. But I AM ON THE ELECTORAL REGISTER where I live and have been since I moved in in 2001. How do I tell CreditEXpert that there system is wrong? I don't seem to be able to find a telephone number for them. Can anyone help?

2) Three of the accounts on this Credit Expert Report are still showing me as being in default with a red 8 next to each of them, even though these (along with a number of others) were included in an IVA, which has been completed and settled satisfactorily. I have spoken with the people at the relevant accounts on numerous occasions since March this year and each time I am told that they will update my positioin but nothing happens. What can I do? One of the accounts involves ASSET LINK / FNB, the other two are an old current account overdraft at Cahoot and a personal loan.

If you are a credit expert member, there is a 'contact us' link somewhere where you can send them everything via email. I can't be more specific as I'm no longer a member.

Give them a numbered list of everything that is inaccurate on your report and let them have a go at sorting it out. Don't hold your breath over anything but the electoral roll thing though.

At the same time, use the account nos and addresses on your report to write to each of the companies concerned pointing out that they are in breach of the Data Protection Act, principle 4, and giving them a time limit to amend your data. If they still don't do it, send them a letter before action.

Send everything at least recorded-signed for so that you can prove they get it.
