| Clearing up CRA files a nightmare!!!!! It's more than 4 years since I went bankrupt, have been discharged more than 3 years. Through advice I decided to clean up files. I wrote to Barclaycard as they had two enteries which were incorrect, incorrect default date and also not marked as satisfied. Well, a few weeks later they did the above all cleaned up, then a while later I received an 'alert' from Experian and Equifax to say there had been a change to my file? Yes Barclaycard, had taken off the satisfied data and is now showing as default and owing, another company Legal Direct (Littlewood's) did the same. Well to be honest they totally removed the data and now it's back on I am so fed up with them, I have tried to get a new bank account a basic account, I have been declined twice. On my Experian file it shows as 'Discharged' but if these companies still haven't marked my files as satisfied, can this make a lot of difference? I mean I was told apply to Abbey and provided you have been discharged for a least 12 months you should be able to get a basic account! Any advice on these matters most welcome. |

Idax | Do you think the files still showing unsatisfied makes a difference?
