grem,
CAG site

You've definately taken the first step into claiming back what's rightfully yours.

Spend time reading the FAQ's and the Step by Step guide as this will stop you making mistakes along the way. Use the letters and spreadsheets in the Templates Library as these have all been tried and tested in successful claims. Read as many threads as you can especially ones that relate to your bank. This is a SELF HELP site and won’t do the work involved for you. However, everything you need is on here somewhere.

Don't be afraid to ask any questions, no matter how stupid they may seem, but please remember that any advice that you receive is normally based on experience only and that you should seek expert advice if required.

Once you start the process of your claim remember to open a thread in the relative bank forum, this will enable you, and others helping you, to keep track of your claim.

Good luck with your claim.

Time for an update. If anyone is interested?

I received a letter today (dated 7/6/07) that is very polite, with attached breakdown of charges for the last 6 years...

I have just spent a very pleasant couple of hours inputting each of the charges to the spreadsheet.. A strangely nostalgic experience! I remember getting hit for each of those charges and being thoroughly disgusted. I have to say that I thought they had refunded more - I thought I was a better negotiator - but no...

I have two accounts with Unco-op and have had around £4,500.00 in charges over the last 6 years if I add them together! I intend to get what they have unlawfully taken from me with compound interest at their unauthorised overdraught rate of 29.9% under the principle of mutuality & reciprocity.

When I think of the misery and difficulty their charges have brought me I really feel that this is right.

I will update soon... Would be interested to hear from anyone that has been through the process...

Grem.
xx

Hi all!

Well... Quick update.

I sent my LBA on 28th June and somewhat worryingly I have not received a response. I called Customer Servies and was told that they had received the letter and would be dealing with it...

Hmmm... Times up as far as I am concerned on Friday 13th (uh oh!) so it looks like I am going to have to take 'em to court... Time to start swotting up!

G.
btw I have been charged another £200 this month... What can you do?
