Hi everyone,
I am new to this, but reckon I am owed about £18000 by various institutions. Can't believe how naive I have been! Anyway, one of my targets is Co-Op. I have just been looking through some duplicate statements sent to me during my divorce in 2003.
One communication states:

Thank you for your recent request. I enclose 40 copy statement(s). A charge of £250.00 has been taken from your account.

Was this right at the time or was data protection different then?Can I claim it back? Seems excessive to me.

I dont think you can reclaim this as its a fee for copy statements.

Well, I'll know in future. I think I'll still slip it into my claim and see what they say. So hard to deal with things from years ago, and no websites like this. Onwards and upwards!!

If they check and realise you are claiming something you are not entitled to you might have trouble. What if you end up in court? Your decision, however.
